This is an insight into the equipment I use to take photos. Although I rarely use it all at once, it’s almost always in my camera bag.

But first, it’s important to understand the kinds of photos I take, and what effect that has on what I carry.

Primarily, I am a wedding photographer and in today’s scenario wedding photography is a genera which itself cover different photography genera like head shot, food, interior/location, product and fashion. For an example a wedding photographer have to shoot wedding location, bridal jewellery or wedding dress. So considering this fact I own every equipment, which help me to take desired photographs.

Here is what is in my camera bag:

The Bag

The Bag I use is Caden K8. It’s a fantastic bag, but I won’t bore you with the details, as you can view my youtube video below for it’s look and feel.

MY CANDID WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY GEAR KIT

Camera

Nikon D750: My camera of choice is a Nikon D750. It is a exceptional camera that won’t let you down, and stands up very well at high ISO settings. I usually carry an extra body that is Nikon D7100 with me, which I leave in my car that anything happens to my main camera. The last thing you need when you have limited time at a place, is to have to run around to try and find another camera so a spare could be essential.

Lenses

My favourite prime lens is a Nikon 35mm F1.8

This lens spends more time on my camera than any other. It’s wide aperture is great for shooting in low light situations. It’s a cheap lens, but
it’s very sharp. I don’t regret buying it one bit.

Nikon 50mm F1.8

This lens is the best low price, sharpest lens that every photographer should have. This lens create beautiful bokeh effect and by which out of focus backgrounds, not simply how far out of focus they are, is great. Out-of-focus backgrounds are always soft and never distract. This is a go to lens for Bridal makeup shoot.

Wide angle lens Samyang 14mm F2.8

I use this lens for shooting ambience of the wedding venue. Additionally this lens used, when I want lights, fun and story in the frame.

Macro Lens Tamron 90mm F2.8

This lens came out for a short time from my bag. This lens is used for shooting ring and jewellery details.

The giant: Nikon 70-200mm F2.8

This lens is the heaviest in my kit. The 70-200 is a perfect focal length at a wedding and it’s 2.8 all the time. The f/2.8 comes in even more handy when you’re shooting something that’s far away from you and you need to zoom in and have an appropriately fast shutter speed.

Lighting

I carry three flashes with me, as well as some accessories for them.

Godox Thinklite TT685 TTL flash, Simpex 999 and Youngnuo YN560 IV

Addition to the above lenses and flashes, I keep multiple batteries, memory cards in my Kit. As light modifiers, I use MAGMOD accessories.
